Thank you for your interest in becoming a Mentee with The "Why You?" Initiative, Inc. [YU?] Program. [YU?] is a growing national volunteer-based nonprofit organization established in 2011 to eradicate barriers to students and academic/professionals' success by effectively delivering support via mentoring, academic tutoring/assistance, professional/academic development, and community development/empowerment through a fusion of virtual and traditional mediums.
As a Mentee, you will have the opportunity to be guided by an experienced professional and/or college student through a variety of channels. These channels will include monthly meetings with your Mentor, monthly webinars with [YU?] staff, Fall and Spring Biannual Confab, various events with your peers and learning from your Mentor’s leadership and experiences. Your Mentor will assist you in discovering purposeful pathways to help you transition through obstacles and to celebrate your successes while achieving your academic goals and/or career vision and self-fulfillment.
